Very disappointing experience at Utende Seacliff Resort. The service was far below expectations, communication was poor, and management did not seem to care about guest concerns. Khalid in particular was unprofessional and unhelpful when issues were raised instead of trying to resolve them properly. I loved waking up and stepping out into an environment that felt peaceful and private. The service was exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making every moment enjoyable. Their hospitality felt personal, not transactional, and that made all the difference. Every request was met with a smile, and their knowledge of the island helped me discover hidden gems I might have missed. The food was fresh and delicious, with a special emphasis on local flavors, perfectly matching the island’s calm rhythm. What truly stood out was the overall ambiance—quiet, intimate, and ideal for anyone seeking rest, reflection, or a gentle escape from the noise of everyday life. Combined with Mafia Island’s pristine beaches, vibrant marine life, and awesome diving sites all thanks to Swaleh. I left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning my return. Relaxed stay near utende
Saleh and Team looked after me very well in my week at Seacliff. It's a new resort and is therefore well outfitted. The AC works well. The food is of good quality and well priced although Vegetarian/Vegan dinner mains are missing. The bike to Utende is totally doable and takes 10-15 minutes. Wonderful stay at Utende Sea Cliff Resort
Our stay at Utende Sea Cliff Resort in Mafia was absolutely wonderful! Saleh was such a kind and attentive host he really made us feel at home. The rooms were spotless, with comfy beds that made it easy to relax after long days exploring. The food was always amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Mafia Island at its best!
We were very happy that we chose to stay at Utende Seacliff Resort. Our cabin was comfortable, clean and air-conditioned. The grounds were lovely. The meals were absolutely delicious. Best of all were the staff members. They made us feel welcome and spoiled us with their service. They picked us up at the airport. They gave recommendations, made reservations for activities and transported us to each one. They even joined us for game playing in the main building. As for the activities, we enjoyed multiple snorkeling outings, a sunset sail, a boat tour of the islands, and swimming with whale sharks. In our rare free time, we borrowed the resort's bicycles and explored the local area. Mafia Island is a hidden gem and Utende Seacliff Resort is conveniently located to access all that it has to offer. We would come back to the resort in a heartbeat.
